Where the Antelope Roam... Well, where are they, where did they go?
History says that Antelope were in the Antelope Valley before the railroad came in 1876. The antelope wouldn't cross the tracks, would come right up to the moving trains, which made them easy targets for passengers. Today there are said to be a few dozen around Qail lake and Tehachapi. Tejon Ranch released about 100 in 1980, and 100 more up until 1987. more...
